Review: NeoStrata Bionic Eye Cream
This unassuming, unexciting little tube is my Holy Grail eye cream. I haven't had any for a while because I had a ton of other bits and pieces from GWPs and impulse buys that I wanted to use up first, but now I'm back, baby!
The first time I tried it, I saw results within a week - I kid you not. Fine lines were smoothed and my under eye concealer didn't go cakey halfway through the day, as it is wont to do. The key ingredient is something called Lactobionic Acid. I did you all a favour and looked that up - it's a sugar acid used in the cosmetic industry as an antioxidant (according to Wikipedia). Whatever it is, it works a treat.
The second key ingredient is Vitamin K, which is there to help fade under eye circles. Until recently I didn't have dark circles, but I sure do now, and Bionic Eye Cream has helped to reduce those. To be honest though, I am not seeing a DRAMATIC improvement in that area. I'm not overly fussed about it, because my main concern is the wrinkles, but if you're looking for something to really get rid of dark under eye circles, I can't honestly say this is going to be your miracle cream.
I also use it on the fine lines around my top lip, and I can see a difference about two weeks after regular use. Honestly, what more can I say about this product? It does exactly what you would want it to do.
It costs about $50AUD (you can often get it for about $40 on pharmacy websites, but then you're paying postage on top so not much cheaper), and it's a teeny tube, but it lasts for ages. It doesn't have much of a scent - I can't pick up anything unless I sniff it right up close, and then there is a very faint whiff of something like tea.

I think I want some but I keep hesitating because of the price.
ReplyDeleteI've told you before - if you buy it and don't like it, I'll buy it off you. You have nothing to lose.
ReplyDeleteYou don't really need an eye cream anyway - you don't have wrinkles.
Wow. That's a very convincing review.
ReplyDeleteHave you tried any other products in that line?
Hi Lisa - no, I haven't tried anything else in that line. I keep meaning to, but something else new and shiny always catches my eye!
ReplyDeleteHey there! I will definitely have to check this one out. I am using MD Forte Eye Rejuvenation Cream right now. It works, but I find that I still have to use a moisturizer afterward which kinda defeats the purpose!
ReplyDeleteHi, Poison Apple! Lovely to see you here. :-)
