Roadtest: Detrivore Eye Shadow Primer with UDPP

A few weeks ago I did a review of Detrivore Eye Shadow Primer, and found that it did a fantastic job of bringing out the colour of eyeshadow, as well as providing a nice sticky base to reduce fallout. However, it did crease quite a bit after 5 hours or so, and I wanted to try it again with UDPP underneath. I've finally gotten around to doing just that.

Pure Luxe and Sassy Minerals

I've been doing an inventory of my makeup and skincare products over the last week or so, and it turns out that I currently own 185 loose eyeshadow products (mostly minerals, but not all). In my defence, about 75% of them are samples, or technically samples (Everyday Minerals used to do samples that were almost the same size as some other companies' full sizes). Now comes the crazy part...

Swatches: Sassy Minerals

Good old Noodles - even with a bad cold she's a trooper. She offered to swatch some Sassy Minerals eyeshadows I received yesterday - I think she's just bored after being cooped up in the house sick for days. Poor thing.

I swatched a handful of Sassy eyeshadows the other day, given to me by chloeblue2005. Even though I liked them (I wore Salt & Sand both yesterday and today - it's lovely), I wasn't intending to buy any. The last thing in the world I need is more eyeshadow. On the other hand, I have bought hardly anything for months, and given the price and the strength of the Aussie dollar at the moment, I decided on a small splurge just for the hell of it. I bought 13 samples (and received two freebies) - with postage it was about $17AUD. Bargain.They took about two weeks to arrive - maybe not even that long - and they come in jars sealed in plastic. Take that, TSS!

Swatches: Sassy Minerals and Fyrinnae

Makeup BFF J has been on a bit of a shopping frenzy lately, and brought me in some samples today from Sassy Minerals and Fyrrinae. They both do samples in jars (yay!), and though I'm not sure how much Fyrinnae's are ($2US, maybe... their shop is closed at the moment), Sassy gives you a good sized sample for 75 cents! I am resisting the urge to shop there because I have several hundred eyeshadows and it's a bit beyond a joke. But if you're looking for something new to play with for a few measly dollars, they're definitely worth checking out. J said the shipping was super quick too - only 6 days to Australia. Can't do much better than that. :-)
