There's a little group of gals on the Beauty Heaven forum who are nuts for mineral makeup, and they are the most dreadfully shameless enablers. Enticed by their swatches and gushing, I leapt in and did a big order of pigments from The She Space, where all full sizes are currently marked down to $2.50US each because they are selling off all of their stock. They take AGES to ship, though to be fair, they do warn of this on the website, so I can't really complain. They arrived a couple of days ago, and though I am delighted with the colours, I am completely unimpressed with the craptacular packaging. They come in little plastic jars, about the same size as the Everyday Minerals sample jars, and they are packed full of product. On the one hand, this is good, because you get a lot of bang for your bucks, but on the other hand, as soon as you open the lid, it goes everywhere. And there is no sifter, which is kind of annoying.
I ordered 39 (I know, I know, but come on - $2.50US, man!), and the way they were shipped to me was a bit rubbish as well. they were all laid out flat with some sort of loose wrapping around them, then the bundle just stuck in a cardboard envelope. No padding, nothing binding them to stop them all from jigging around in transit. Consequently, they were all rolling around on each other and a lot of the lids were loose. One of them had come off completely, and when I opened the package it looked like this:
Lovely. It took me an hour to clean off all the little jars (and then the kitchen bench) before I could even look at them properly. On the bright side, they are really lovely colours, and I'll be swatching them tomorrow with my regular model Noodle Arms, so watch this space!
