When Summer hits in Adelaide and you live in a house with no air conditioning (sob), it's time to take action.
Yes, those are my lipsticks and lip palettes in the fridge. It gets SERIOUSLY hot here, and if I didn't do this, they melt into a colourful, waxy puddle of grossness sometime in mid-January.
Tell me I'm not the only person who keeps makeup in odd places...

My nan does this! I dont but I think I should, especially with some active skincare that says to store below 25!
ReplyDeleteAww I never thought that my lipsticks could melt in the summer! We have air conditioning, but it's not always on... thanks for the tip! Meanwhile, I always keep my nail polishes in the fridge. I've been told it's better for their shelf life.
ReplyDeleteI do it too lol we have no air con either *blergh* I have a whole bag of skincare stuff in the fridge I'm sure lippies will join the party when it gets hotter here :P
ReplyDeleteTea, haha! I feel old now. ;-)
ReplyDeleteGaby, I've heard before that it's good to keep nail polishes in the fridge, but I don't have the room for both, unfortunately!
Jade, having no air con in this country sucks!
Better safe than sorry! Nothing worse than melted lipstick
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip! I think I'm going to try this too :)
ReplyDeleteWe have aircon but I keep my lipsticks and nail polishes in the fridge. I also keep a face spray and my face and body moisturisers in the fridge so that they're nice and cooling when I apply them.
ReplyDeleteGQ, great idea about the spray and the moisturiser. I keep eye creams in the fridge sometimes.
ReplyDeleteAre you Mrs GQ yet?
I do this and I even have airconditioning. I keep my face creams and eyecreams too like Dee because they feel nicer on the skin.
ReplyDeleteMy place also has no aircon :( And I keep a bunch of stuff in the fridge - but alas not enough space for it all.....I've had bags of chocolates (were for xmas presents - scratch that idea!) melt into mush even when kept in the supposed cooler bits of my apartment...so far the lipsticks have held up!
