Etsy enabling

A month or so ago I happened across a beautiful blog called Le Gothique, and I've been following it avidly ever since. The girl (I assume she is a girl, I may be wrong) who writes it reviews a lot of mineral makeup and Etsy stores, both minor obsessions of mine. Unfortunately, since I began reading her blog, Etsy is becoming something of a major obsession. Her photography is gorgeous, and her reviews are thorough and informative. If you're less suggestible than I am, I highly recommend reading.

But anyway, the reason I mention Le Gothique is because she recently reviewed an Etsy store called The Morbid The Merrier, and gave them such a rave that I rushed right on to Etsy and clicked on a bunch of things before I could talk myself out of it.

My goodies arrived today, and they are GORGEOUS. Firstly, check out the packaging! Everything is done up like Christmas crackers. I am a sucker for the little extra touches - I wouldn't not buy a good product because it wasn't wrapped nicely, but a bit of care makes a good product that much more fun and enticing, don't you think?

I bought two lip balms and 9 perfume samples. I have sniffed all the perfumes, and liked every one of them, but of course they may be different on the skin. I'll review those once I've tested them. I also tried out the lip balms immediately (I love the labels!), and they are smooth and nourishing, without too much of an overpowering scent. Caramel Apple smells like toffee apples, and Sweet Cream and Honey has a nice, light scent of vanilla cream. I didn't really pick up any honey in it.

I'm so impressed with these products - and OH MY GOD I JUST NOTICED THEY HAVE SOLID PERFUMES. BRB... shopping...
